Pet Policy
Dear Caring Fur-Parents,
At Alta D’ Tagaytay Hotel, we prioritize safety and offer pet-friendly experiences. To ensure a comfortable environment for all our guests, we would like to inform you of our pet policy:
- Permitted Pets: Only dogs and cats are allowed as pets on hotel premises. A maximum of one pet per room is permitted, and the pet must not exceed a height of 100 centimeters (3 feet). Only domestic or house cats are allowed.
- Only Ridge Room Can Accommodate Pets.
- Registered Pets: Pets may only stay in the rooms where they have been registered.
- Pet Owner Responsibilities: Pet owners should provide the following necessities for their pets:
- Vaccination record
- Pet food and vitamins
- Food and water bowls
- Leash
- Stroller/carrier
- Toys
- Disposable bags
- Pee pads
- Diapers
- Note: If your cat stays with you, please bring your litter box.
- Leash Requirement: Pets must always be kept on a leash and accompanied by their owner in public areas. This is a preventive measure for the safety of all guests.
- Vaccination Compliance: All pets, including anti-rabies, must be current on vaccinations. A vaccination certificate must be presented at the Front Desk upon check-in.
- Health Clearance: Pets should be ill-free for at least 72 hours before arrival. A certified veterinarian’s medical clearance may be required during check-in.
- Grooming Standards: All pets must be well-groomed, clean, and free of fleas and ticks. Diapers must be worn at all times, especially in public areas.
- Entry and Exit Points: Pet owners must use only the fire exit passage going to the room.
- Restricted Areas: Pets are prohibited in common and recreational areas such as restaurants (except in alfresco areas where permitted), function rooms, swimming pools, gyms, and back-of-house areas. Guests with pets may use public areas only for entering and exiting the building. Service animals are exempt if accompanied by hotel security personnel.
- Garden Use: If available, pets may be allowed in the garden or lawn areas, provided that their waste is cleaned and disposed of in secure disposable bags. Guests must maintain the property in good and sanitary condition.
- Unattended Pets: Pets must not be left unattended. Animals left for more than 48 hours will be considered abandoned and reported to the proper authorities. The registered guest will be responsible for any resulting costs, losses, or damages.
- Guest Provided Equipment: The guest must provide all equipment needed for the care and feeding of pets. Hotel equipment (e.g., bathtubs, towels, and linens) must not be used for animals. Charges will apply for using hotel linens for pets, with stained linens charged at twice the regular laundry rate and permanently stained items incurring replacement fees.
- Noise Complaints: Pet owners must promptly address any complaints from other guests regarding noise or disturbances caused by their pets. A pet must be removed from the property if it becomes overly disruptive or aggressive. If deemed dangerous by hotel management, the pet will also be removed immediately.
- Housekeeping Services: Guests must remove their pets from the room during housekeeping services. Please contact the housekeeping department to schedule a convenient time. If housekeeping is not needed, guests may activate the privacy sign in the room.
- Security Deposit: Upon check-in, each guest is required to provide a room security deposit of PHP 2,500 per room. This deposit covers any damages incurred during the stay, including stained bedding, carpets, or furniture. The room will be thoroughly inspected upon checkout. If no damages or extra cleaning are found, the deposit will be returned.
- Disinfection Cleaning Fee: A non-refundable disinfection cleaning fee corresponding to the room category will be charged at check-in. The fee is PHP 2,500 per pet.
- Damage Charges: Any damage caused by pets will be charged to the registered guest and must be paid upon receipt of an invoice.
- Liability Disclaimer: Hotel management and staff will not be held liable for any harm, injury, or illness to pets.
CANCELLATION/MODIFICATION POLICY
- Cancellations received less than 30 days will be charged the full amount (100%).
- Payment made to the hotel is non-refundable and will be forfeited in case of cancellation. However, the reservation fee will be deducted from the total amount due to the hotel.
- Amendment and/or rebooking request of the reservation must be supported by a written notice to be forwarded to the Alta D’ Tagaytay Hotel reservations team. All requests are subject to room availability and approval by management.
